With access to and from the river a this is a perfect overnight stop for canoeists, or holiday spot for walkers and fishermen. There is a pontoon for mooring if you arrive by river (direct access from river to the terrace) or safe off-road parking if you arrive by more c

onventional transport. For cyclists we have plenty of safe of road parking for your bikes and we are going stopping off point for those going from Lands End to John O’Groats. Ideal for families, small parties and anyone young at heart. We offer a large family room (one queen-size plus two singles)with ensuite bathroom and views of the river, a double over looking the garden and a garden annex room. The house is full of books, art and (often) music. Just a place to relax, be yourself and eat great home-cooked food. Breakfast and evening meals are provided by Polly who retrained as a Chef after years in marketing. Enjoy locally sourced food and home made bread in the Conservatory over looking the River Wye. We are happy to provide a pack-lunch for your onward journey. You’ll meet our very friendly, young Cockerton called Bea, two cats, two doves and our offspring of varying ages. We pride ourselves on being friendly and informal. Children very welcome. Well behaved pets can come too. Rooms from £65 a night.. We are really proud to have been chosen to be A Sawday’s Special Place to stay and wear our badge with pride. We are also Airbnb hosts.
