I called into The Old Black Lion for lunch last Saturday and had a lovely sunny lunch out in the garden and it’s definitely one to add to your list when you’re next in Hay-on-Wye.

Tucked away at the bottom of Bear Street, The Old Black Lion is well worth seeking out when you’re in town.

The kitchen makes the most of seasonal ingredients, locally sourced wherever possible, with different menus to suit everything from a relaxed lunch to an evening meal.

Had a fab evening at Fir by Matt Sampson yesterday at the Industry Evening. Delicous food and fantastic service, a great asset for the town.
