The Pound, B&B and Campsite

With a lifetime of experience in the catering and hospitality industry, Rob and Carol established the Bed and Breakfast and camping service after moving into a large and beautiful home alongside the River Wye, over 10 years ago.

As the owners of various pubs and hotels throughout their lifetimes, Rob and Carol understand the importance of creating a warm and homely ambience, in which the comfort of the customer is imperative.

A successful chef with an unrivalled reputation, Carol bakes the most beautiful cakes, which are typically enjoyed by our B&B customers with a pot of tea whilst overlooking the River Wye. Her cooked breakfasts are also famed!

Situated on the bank of the River Wye, the campsite is perfect for canoeists. Only 10 minutes by car to both Hay on Wye and Glasbury, the campsite at the Pound is located at a popular and central landing point along the River Wye. The campsite offers a large car parking facility and a spotless shower block, which includes hot power showers and a coffee dispensing machine. It is also merely 50 yards from the Boat Inn, a pub which offers ‘proper’ pub food and idyllic views of the river and surrounding valley.
