If you are staying with us, you can take a dip in the river

📢Due to the wildfire in the area, Keepers Pond car park is currently closed. Emergency services are using the pond as a water source to help tackle the fire.

For everyone's safety, please avoid the area until further notice.

We will provide updates on the reopening of the car park as soon as more information becomes available. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

☄️ Make the most of our Dark Skies Reserve and experience this incredible Meteor Shower.

The Perseid meteor shower is active from July 17th to August 24th, with its peak on August 13th.

This year will be special; as the New Moon falls on the 12th of August, the placement of the moon between the Earth and Sun makes it so that it is virtually missing from the night sky. This calls for an exceptional dark sky, in which you’ll be able to witness the extraordinary meteor shower 🌒

The best time to see the Perseid meteor shower will be from around 1am until the first light of dawn on 13th August.

🐶 Heading out for a dog walk? Remember to always stay SAFE around farm animals and horses:

S - stop, look and listen before entering a field; be aware of any animals present

A - always keep your dog on a short lead

F - find the safest route around animals, giving them plenty of space and using paths or access land where possible

E - exit the area calmly and quickly if threatened, releasing your dog to make it easier for you both to reach safety
