Most of us internet browsers trawl the web some looking for inspiration some just looking in my case I was just looking I kept reading try the glamping experience. Having retired some years ago and not being part of the keep fit stay young enthusiasts I was looking for an activity in the leisure industry rather than in the sporting arena. Having already done the midlife crisis thing which in my case was a big red Harley Davidson which I have to say were some of the best times yet.The Harley years have left me with some wonderful memories, riding and glamping holidays with like minded pals.A road trip to Monaco to ride the grand prix circuit then on to France, San Tr0pez / Cannes/and Italy/Harley old timers in Holland with my son Luke Henry happy days. I digress, finally we developed Sweetings Wood glamping park with inspiration from my extensive travels and holidays. We are located in the beautiful village of Brickendon Liberty close to the historical town of Hertford the county town of Hertfordshire in our ancient woodland that is only 18 miles by road to London or 47 minutes by a main line railway which is Bayford the trains run into London Moorgate/Liverpool St, so how's this for an idea if you work or commute into London or any stop in between why not drop off your partner at Sweetings Wood glamping park for a nice quite few days them catch the train to work which is a short walk or a 2 minute drive away. All other potential visitors to Sweetings Wood Glamping experience from what ever country or location will be glad they did.The eco friendly pods are set in a mature Oak/Pine/ash and Hornbeam woodland over looking a lush meadow complete with grazing horses wild rabbits the occasionally deer and at night if you are patient badgers and in the distance the sound hooting owls can be heard. The local village hostelry (The Farmer Boy public house & restaurant)( please see our web site for details) for this prize winning pub and wonder at the extensive menu. Here's a new idea you can eat in or take away so if cooking is not your forte and you prefer a more romantic dining experience in the woods around a warming log fire this could be your dream come true, worried about takeaway food getting cold then don't the pub is on the corner which is about a 4 minute walk away, absolute heaven. Our web site is packed with sightseeing ideas and stately homes to visit so please log on to GLAMPNGHERTS.COM then pay us a visit to make unforgettable memories in historic Hertfordshire.
Looking forward to seeing you.
