"A comfortable, well-equipped cottage in a fabulous location. Allendale Town has great facilities (shops, cafes, a little art and craft centre, two pubs) and is ideally situated for trips out to visit the roman wall and historic Hexham and Corbridge. There are some wonderful local walks: Isaac’s Tea Trail up the Allen Valley, nearby Allen Banks. If you fancy a day out in Newcastle (worth it), drop the car at Hexham station (20 mins) and go by train."
