Today we’re celebrating 5 years of welcoming lovely guests to Granary Cottage — where have those 5 years gone?
This morning we opened the guest book to find these great comments, and it truly reminded us how grateful we are for every single guest who has stayed with us over the years.
A huge thank you to all our guests who have stayed in Granary Cottage and Linn Cottages. Your kind words, support, and memories have meant the world to us and made these past five years so special.
Here’s to many more happy stays, wonderful memories, and welcoming both returning and new guests in the years ahead ❤️

Spring has truly arrived here at the cottages, and what a magical few weeks we have ahead! 🌿🐑
Our fields are coming to life as lambing season begins, and over the next 3–4 weeks our guests will have the special experience of seeing newborn lambs taking their very first steps. It’s a beautiful, heartwarming sight that never gets old — from tiny wobbly legs to playful leaps in the sunshine.
If you’re staying with us soon, you’re in for something really special. And if you’ve been thinking about a countryside escape, there’s no better time to visit and soak up the joy of spring on the farm.
We can’t wait to share this wonderful season with you all! 💛

There’s something special about the walks around our area — quiet trails, big skies, and those little places that make you stop and just take it all in.
One of my favourites has to be Hindhope Linn, tucked away north of Kielder. If you haven’t been yet, it’s well worth seeking out. The path winds through peaceful woodland before opening up to the most beautiful waterfall, cascading over mossy rock into a deep, hidden pool. It feels almost untouched, like a little secret in the forest.
What I love most is how the walk changes with the seasons. In spring the woods are bright with new green leaves, in summer it’s cool and shaded under the trees, autumn brings that incredible mix of gold and red, and in winter the waterfall can look almost magical after frost.
It’s the kind of place where you slow down without even realising — listening to the water, the wind through the trees, and the birds overhead. Perfect for a gentle wander, a few photos, or just a quiet moment away from the busy world.
We’re lucky to have walks like this right on our doorstep. If you’re looking for somewhere peaceful to explore, put Hindhope Linn on your list — you won’t regret it.

Demesne Farm Campsite is a peaceful, family-run campsite tucked away in the heart of Bellingham — the gateway to Northumberland National Park.

Established in 1972, the campsite is run by Robert and Margaret Telfer, sheep farmers who have worked this land for generations. The site is entirely grass and spread across two fields: one field offers electric hook-up points, while the second is non-electric for a more traditional camping experience.

Facilities include a ladies’ and gents’ toilet and shower block. The camping season runs from 1st May to 30th September, opening after lambing time and closing before winter sets in, ensuring guests enjoy the site at its best.

Tucked away near the magical Hareshaw Linn waterfall in Bellingham, our little holiday cottage is a place where time slows and nature wraps you in calm 🌿💦

Named after the waterfall that inspired it, Linn Cottage is all about peaceful mornings, woodland walks, and cosy evenings spent together. Thoughtfully styled, beautifully comfortable, and proudly 5-star rated, it’s the perfect escape for couples, friends, or small families.

Sleeping up to 4 guests, it’s a space to reconnect — with each other and with the wild beauty of Northumberland. Wake to birdsong, breathe in the fresh forest air, and fall asleep dreaming of tumbling water and star-filled skies ✨

Come and fall in love with slow living, soft moments, and a little bit of magic 💚
