High Broadwood Hall Cottages

To all our Friends, Guests and anybody else who sees this post.
The time has come for Elaine and me to move on. I have to admit that age is starting to catch up with me.
However although we have moved on we have left High Braodwood Hall Cottages in the very safe hands of Molly Haffenden-Haines. She and the family have taken over the whole farm and Molly has taken responsibility for the cottages. She is settling in at the moment but the cottages will be up and running again in the very near future so watch this space!!!
Thanks again for all your support over the last 11 years and hope that you continue to support the cottages while you enjoy your visits to this glorious part of England.

Dark skies - one of the many reasons why Northumberland is well worth a visit. Kielder Observatory is a treat and half for any of those who love a bit of star gazing and is only a hop skip and a jump away from our cottages.

After attending a rush management workshop last week at RSPB Geltsdale we can definitely recommend it for a visit. With somewhere around 55 sightings of black grouse this year, it is also home to birds of prey and breeding wading birds. Only a short distance from our doorstep, this reserve is ideal for those who enjoy a walk, as well as bird watching.

This beautiful waterfall is not far from our cottages. High Force Waterfall is situated in the North Pennines AONB and is well worth a visit, as we discovered ourselves recently.

If you can't make the display tonight in Hexham, why not come along to Allendale on Wednesday 5th November at 6pm for the Allendale Lions Bonfire Night.
