Thank you Pete and Jo for your lovely message in our guest book in Little Silver Owl! Last week was hot hot hot but maybe not quite as hot in the West Country as elsewhere, and maybe even more tolerable in our sheltered orchard. We agree - if you’re staying with us over a weekend then smokeonthewatersdevon is the perfect place for for lunch or dinner.

The sun always brings us to The Bell Inn Chittlehampton for a sit outside with some lovely beer and food. The BBQ loaded fries were amazing!!!

We're super pleased to announce we won TWO more GEMS awards with our agents, Sykes Cottages - Bronze in the 'Best for Couples' Category for Little Silver Fox and Silver in the 'Best Hot Tub' category for Little Silver Owl.

This is on top of the two awards we won for Little Silver Leaf last year (Gold for 'Best Hot Tub' and Silver for 'Best in the West') and awards for Little Silver Nugget in 2023 (Silver for 'Best Longstanding Property') and 2019 (Gold for 'Best Hot Tub').

The GEMS awards are drawn from across 22,500 holiday lets advertised through Sykes so we couldn't be more proud that our properties have won so many.
