A trip to the amazing open air museum Beamish today! A place to travel back in time to the 1820’s, 1900’s, 1940’s & 1950’s to see what life was like in the North East 🚂 Beamish is only a 40 minute car journey away from The Blue Cottage and is a perfect day out for the family 🌞 ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

The living space that The Blue Cottage provides is incredible from cooking dinner in the kitchen diner to relaxing in one of our wonderful bedrooms there is plenty of space! Don’t forget our cosy living room featuring the log burner which has been a hit with our guests 😌⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

Welcome to the Blue Cottage.

The Cottage sits near the banks of the River Tees and is situated on the Teesdale Way and is a Gateway to Teesdale, Swaledale and Wensleydale.

From the front door, you can be walking either down stream towards Darlington, or upstream towards Barnard Castle and beyond, with some stunning scenery along the way.

📍The historic market town of Barnard Castle is less than 15 minutes away.

📍The Lake District National Park is around an hour away, as is the North Yorkshire National Park.

📍The beautiful city of York is around an hour away.

If you are wanting a relaxing break away with the beautiful countryside on your doorstep or a weekend of exploring the local areas with great family attractions The Blue Cottage is the place for you.
