Our Dear little peanut is in the barn with her mum Ivy. She is still very small and there is a real risk of pneumonia to vulnerable animals when the weather turns from hot to wet.

So we’ve tucked her up in the barn with her special food and we encourage her to eat as much as she needs.

Not out of the woods yet ❤️

Big Mumma is the star of the show (Lady Alma 6th of Mottistone).

We love the white stripe in her fringe (DOSSAN).

What’s the Purpose of the DOSSAN?

Eye protection: Shields their eyes from harsh wind, driving rain, and snow.

Pest defense: Keeps out annoying midges, flies, and insects during the warmer months.

Enhanced vision: Despite covering their eyes, the hair is thin enough that the cows can see clearly through it.
