Situated just off of the A505 between Hitchin and Luton. Offley Place remains the heart of our community, we welcome local and international guests to enjoy the lovingly restored historic house and grounds. Offley Place is steeped in history, with the main house being built in the 16th Century by the Spencer family from Althorp, The house was owned by them till 1929 when it was sold for the first
time. The house and gardens have been lovingly restored to preserve many of the original features. This includes the belle époque wall paper of the drawing room (now our stylish bar) a feature which many developers would have simply painted over! The ground floor of the House features our Spencer Restaurant, Lounge and Bar. To the side of the building the addition of an impressive conservatory allows full views of our splendid mature gardens. The upper floors of the house contain our 16 bedrooms; each en suite bedroom has been individually designed to retain the feel and charm of the old manor house, with the comfort of modern facilities. Many of the rooms offer wonderful views across the gardens and extensive grounds. All of which are equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen TV and complimentary Wi-Fi. Offley Place is the perfect venue for celebrations of weddings and other important occasions, our conservatory will accommodate up to 70 person for a sit down meal, an dour Hester Ballroom up to 250! We also feature a large marquee that will accommodate much larger events.
