The early birds are here!

The Synchro StingRays have been teasing us with glimpses of their preparations since early October.

Last Sunday, a whole week ahead of the official date, they kicked off World Swim Hat Day celebrations in spectacular style. Just look at those hats! 🩷🩵❤️

Now it’s the rest of the world’s turn!

World Swim Hat Day is this Sunday, October 25, 2026. Wherever you are, find some water, put something whimsical on your head and join the fun!

🍂❄️ WHAT’S ON AT BURHOPE FARM CAMPSITE? ❄️🍂

After a fabulous Summer welcoming lots of new faces, we're ready to face the cooler months down at The Lake. As we approach Winter there is no better time to embrace the outdoors and try something a little different!

✨ What’s on this cooler season? ❄️

For both experienced cold water swimmers or those of you who are just beginning to discover the joys that the cold water can bring, we've got plenty of opportunities to get your cold water fix.

Following Summer's success, our regular swim slots will still be running throughout the week, including our popular express swims. We are also working closely with the wonderful Swim with Ray to offer guided swims, including her fabulous weekly Cold Club which we will be running on Sundays (and occasional additional dates) throughout the Winter months.

What a wonderful time we had celebrating World Swim Hat Day & watching the fabulous Synchro StingRays perform on Sunday.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined and supported us.

As we move into the Winter months we've got plenty of opportunities planned to get your cold water fix. We have our regular swim slots, perfect for both seasoned cold water swimmers and beginners and also lots of events with Swim with Ray for those of you looking to dip your toe into the fabulous world of cold water swimming.

💙Starting things off with a bang on Sunday 18th October
A celebration of all things fabulous. World swim hat day & the Synchro StingRays. Come watch a magnificent synchro swim show & have a swim too, wearing your fanciest swim hat🤩🎩👒

Then there will be:

💙Introduction to Cold Water Swimming Sessions.
22nd Oct, 7th & 14th Nov.
The perfect way to start your swimming hobby. Learn all you need to know to help keep you safe. What to do expect & how to deal with the cold. Lots of top tips. Swim with a very experienced cold water swim coach.
Ideal for total beginners & those with some outdoor swim experience. It’s a great way to top up your water safety knowledge.

Then…
💙Ray’s Cold Club
A regular swim meet up. I will be there to help, guide & encourage you through Winter Swimming.
A guaranteed swim buddy to keep watch over you. As the temperature drops, it’s really important to swim with a knowledgeable expert to help keep you safe & learn about your own limits.
Sunday mornings from 18th October. Occasional Saturdays & a few Fridays.
Let me keep you swimming all year round.

I can’t wait to meet you at this perfect lake. Ideal for winter swimming.
