Holmfirth Food and Drink Festival is on next weekend!!! 🍻🥧🍹🍜🥂🧁

There's still time to make a weekend of it as we still have 3 pitches available (grass non-electric). If glamping is more your thing, we just have Friday night in Rowan Pod available (sleeps 2 + child) for a short getaway and a taster of the festival!

The summer may be coming to an end and the dark nights coming in but we have an exciting new activity here at the campsite! Bat detecting!

Both campsite guests and locals living nearby can now hire a bat detector and with a bat walk guide, go on a bat safari! 🦇🏕

Hire is available from April until the end of October when bats are most active.

Dectector hire from 4pm until 10am the next day costs £10.00 (we also take a pre-authorised deposit of £50.00, released on the safe return of the detector). Please call us 01484 665819 to reserve the detector in advance.

This morning we saw 148 ducks race down the river! Congratulations to ducks 29, 10, 12, 1 & 22 who crossed the finish line first and 78 for coming in last - all bagged prizes!
Thank you to all those who sponsored ducks - £123.00 has been raised and will be donated to River Holme Connections whose team of volunteers do fantastic work to keep the River Holme, its banks and pathways tidy, clean and healthy for wildlife and us all to enjoy.

If you missed last Wednesday's Outdoor Yoga, we have just one more session on Wednesday 26th August, 6pm until 6.45pm.

Families and children welcome or if you're a teenager aged 14 years or older and fancy some time out, come along. Everyone welcome whether you're staying with us or live locally.

Afterwards, stay and enjoy the play area or a drink and a bite to eat at The Camping Stove Takeaway Food Cabin.

If you'd like to join in, Niamh's fantastic sessions will be on every Wednesday evening in August, 6pm to 6.45pm.

We've had some lovely younger campers staying on the park recently...

🎨 Ellie gave us these beautifully painted rocks.
🛻 Little 2 year old Percy spotted that we had named our UTV Percy so of course Percy enjoyed a little ride around the park on Percy!
⛳️ 5 year old Amelia, our newest seasonal pitch holder came 3rd place in the Adventure Golf Tournament last weekend!
🎣 This young fisherman was proud of his catch from the pond!

We're looking forward to more fun and activities this weekend!
