A week dedicated to vet techs and the amazing work they do!

Here at Penbode we are incredibly lucky to have a fantastic team of dedicated vet techs. They work alongside our vets and farmers to support animal health.

They offer a wide variety of services, including vaccinating, lameness scoring, drying off, creating antibiotics reports and disbudding.

Thank you Meg, Amelie, Ursula and Jorja for all your hard work, you always go above and beyond and we are extremely grateful for all you do.

A Tradition that Survived

🪿 DID YOU KNOW? - Goose Fair even had to take a break – and came back stronger?

For centuries, Goose Fair has been part of life in Tavistock.

But there have been times when the Fair couldn't take place.

It was interrupted during the World Wars and, more recently, 2020 and 2021 brought an unprecedented break because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

When Goose Fair finally returned in 2022, it wasn't simply another event in the calendar.

For many people, it was a sign that Tavistock was getting back together again.

The stalls returned.
The fairground returned.
The crowds returned.
And Goose Fair returned to the town's streets.

Some traditions matter because they remind us where we've come from – and some matter because they bring us together again.

That's Tavistock Goose Fair. ❤️🪿

Tavistock Goose Fair returns on the 14th October, the second Wednesday in October as is tradition!

🏰 Even on a gloomy day. This castle looks magical. English heritage are proud of the castles we have, along with some other sites such as houses and manors.
There is something about castles that still stands to this very day that stands out above the rest. ☁️🌥️

Come and see where the Courtney's owned and read up about the wonder way building dating back to the 1066's.
Bring family and friends. Well behaved dogs are welcome.
The site is free to enter and is open from 10pm-4pm Daily.
Come and sit in the grounds and have a picnic, look up at the castle and imagine what it would have been like years ago and how lucky we are to be able to go inside it without needing a horse or cart 😂

The car park is free and 200yds from the entrance. Disabled is next to the entrance. 🏰
