Did I mention we were doing a beer weekend???

Well if you’ve missed our previous post…. you know now.

There will be beer from lots of our fabulous breweries in our region. Live music from local singers. Burgers from the Chequers Burger Bar. Pizza from East Coast Pizza Company. Stiffkey Oysters from Norfolk Seaweed. And our favourite traditional Sunday roasts.

It’s going to be a hell of a weekend. Just need some sun now ☀️ ☀️ 🤞

Guests can enjoy tea or coffee (decaf available) and orange juice, followed by a selection of porridge, mixed fruit, yoghurt and cereals — including gluten free options. ☕🥣

The traditional English breakfast features local Lincolnshire-style sausages, smoked back bacon, eggs cooked to preference, black pudding, tomato, baked beans and mushrooms. 🍳🥓

Alternatively, guests can choose from tempting dishes such as Eggs Benedict, Eggs Royale, Eggs Florentine, Scotch pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, Shakshuka with toasted sourdough, mushrooms with thyme butter, or sweet potato and spinach hash with feta. 🥞

This April, Houghton Hall will transform its award-winning five-acre Walled Garden with 25,000 tulips, in partnership with leading bulb specialists Peter Nyssen.

Visitors can explore themed garden rooms including the Italian Garden, Rose Parterre and orchard, enjoy early-flowering bulbs and discover striking new sculptures by Antony Gormley RA. A perfect spring day out for garden lovers and photographers alike.

📅 Opening: Saturday 11 April to early May, Saturdays, Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, plus the May Bank Holiday weekend 2 to 4 May
