Hux’s Camping @ Hill Farm caters exclusively for one group at a time, which means you get the whole site to yourself! If that is just for the two of you or for a group of families, the site is for you to enjoy on your own terms and in private. We cater for upto 10 pitches under one booking
Where are we
Only 3 hours from London, and approximately 3 miles from Honiton, and easy access from the A30
and close to all the beautiful beaches of East Devon
Who we are
We are a friendly couple with a young family, with a love of Devon and the countryside. We aren’t farmers but have a smallholding, with Chickens, Goats and Pigs. We have a secluded field that is ideal for camping and we hope that you enjoy the site as much as we do. Recycling
We do not have business waste collection, so please take your landfill rubbish home with you. This includes broken camping equipment! We are happy to recycle glass bottles, plastic bottles, cans, cardboard, and food waste with relevant bins being provided for you. Campfires & BBQs
We have a communal fire pit along with a bag of fire wood. You can bring your own bbq, but please ensure it is off the ground so as not to kill the grass. If you would like to hire a bbq for a small fee for the night, please let us know. Phone Charging, Internet & Electric
We do not have wifi on site but you can get 3G/4G signal
We don’t have Electrical Hook Ups, but there is an electric point in The Stables which can be used to blow up an air bed, charge your phone etc. Toilet/ Shower and Washing up Block (“The Stables”)
No compost loos here, we have fully plumbed facilities in the newly refurbished Stable Block. This comprises of 1 flushing toilet and an electric shower. The facilities will be deep cleaned between bookings, but we will leave some cleaning supplies for you to use at your convenience. There is a large ordnance survey map on the wall, as well as some tourist info. Dogs and Pets
We do not welcome dogs or pets
Water
A tap water point is available at The Stables
Noise
Site noise should be kept to a minimum after 10pm, this means that no music should be played. Vehicles
You can park your vehicle next to your tent
Campervans allowed but only if sleeping in tent (part of licence requirement)
Price & Payment
Weeknights £110 (per night) - Weekends £325 (2 night stay)
Please note weeknights are Sun-Thur, weekend bookings are Fir-Sat and this is a minimum 2 night stay. Remember this give exclusive use of the field and facilities. Full payment will be taken on booking
T&C’s
• Pitches are available from 1pm on the day your holiday commences – Day of departure you must check out by 11.30am, please leave your pitch clean and tidy.
• All tents must be pitched at least 6 meters apart
• Do not camp near the fire pit
• We provide a fire pit, do not make campfires in any other area.
• Flying of Kites, must be kept well away from overhead wires
• The use of generators is not permitted
• All recyclable rubbish to be placed in the bins provided, all landfill rubbish to be taken home with you
• No smoking in the toilet/shower/washing up bloc
• The owners of Hux’s Campsite, accept no liability for any personal injury, loss or damage to any person’s property or vehicle whilst using the site
• The cutting down of any trees or vegetation is strictly forbidden
• No Dogs or Pets allowed
• Any person in break of the campsite rules may be asked to leave and no refund given.
