A little shout out to Stentwood Farm, home to the Common Loaf Bakery and tearoom, maker of my most favourite loaf (organic 100% rye sourdough). Insanely good with avocado and smoked salmon. I usually collect from but I was passing the bakery this week instead. The warmest, cosiest tearoom where you can stop in front of the fire and sample one of their delicious cakes or pick up some of their incredible bread. They are’t on insta as they are far too wholesome 🥰 but do stop by if you are staying with us and heading towards Hemyock.

Blowing away the cobwebs with a walk along the Cobb at Lyme Regis. This little seaside town, full of independent shops is decorated so beautifully for the festive period. Having watched Wonka over Christmas (part of which was filmed here), it felt even more magical today.

Lovely new range oven just fitted in the Haybarton, ready for a big celebration feast (I’m not mentioning….🎄). Our kitchens are very well equipped with weighing scales, mini food processors, slow cookers and plenty of crockery and cutlery. I get so frustrated when staying in accommodation with minimal crockery, so the Haybarton has enough for 12 guests with plenty spare in the cupboards. Lovely wine glasses and champagne flutes (maybe it is just me, but fizz just doesn’t taste as nice in a wine glass!). Thanks for your speedy and efficient delivery.

Loving the slow shift into Autumn and these dreamy blue skies. A wonderful stillness at Bidwell today. Even the ducks were playing at being statues. Looks like it’s baked apples for tea again 🍎🍎🍎 🍁

The trampoline has had a makeover. Thoroughly scrubbed, hosed down and brand new netting. Ready for some October half-term jumping. Thank you .play it looks great 😊
