There is direct access from the doorstep over the fields and lanes to the villages of Hope and Castleton or onto Lose Hill ridge from where you can take the spectacular walk to Mam Tor or drop down into the Edale valley. The two luxurious pet friendly self catering cottages are ideally located for those interested in a walking, climbing or cycling holiday and provide an ideal base from which to explore the Peak District whether for a week or a short break. There is plenty of storage space for bikes and climbing equipment plus ample parking space. In short, it is the perfect base for walkers, climbers, ramblers or those who simply want to relax and sees the Peak District. Spring House Farm is approximately 25 minutes from both Chatsworth and Haddon Hall. The self catering holiday cottages are set in a private working stable courtyard. Each cottage is fully equipped, has Wi-Fi access and its own private garden or terrace area. Both cottages have super views, Harry Eyre Cottage looks to Mam Tor - the Peak District's famous 'shivering mountain’ and Shippon Cottage faces Lose Hill. The cottages cater for short breaks as well as longer stays. Shippon Cottage is a luxurious, charming, spacious and romantic cottage for two complete with a four-poster bed. This 19th Century stone building, originally a ‘shippon (or diary), retains many unique architectural features and is sprinkled with pieces of antique furniture. It sleeps two adults plus there is a sofa bed (and cot) for children and infants. Well behaved and friendly dogs (max two) are welcome in Shippon Cottage . Recently refurbished, Harry Eyre Cottage is now a luxurious but still characterful cottage with lots of original details and fabulous views of Mam Tor. It sleeps four people in one double and one twin bedroom. The cottage has its own private and enclosed garden, ideal for dogs. Well behaved and friendly dogs (max two) are welcome also in Harry Eyre Cottage. Spring House is no longer a working farm but home to a number of ponies, sheep and hens.
