Another changeover complete and The Reading Rooms is guest ready once again! 🏡✨

It’s been a wonderfully busy summer so far, and we’re so grateful to everyone who’s chosen to stay with us in Hornsea. Every arrival means fresh linen, sparkling spaces, and those little finishing touches we hope make every stay feel special.

What a great day celebrating Hornsea Carnival. Probably the best parade we’ve seen in a while. Spent the whole day enjoying everything on offer from rides and food to top entertainment and music on the hill. Just brilliant. 🤩

We are guest ready for our first Hornsea Carnival weekend, including our first baby visitor. We hope everyone that’s staying with us and that’s visiting the carnival have the best weekend.

Tourist day!!!

Today we spend the day being tourists around Hornsea. Nice walk down the seafront, 2p slots at the amusements. Lunch at Gerty's Tearoom which was amazing and finish the day Rage Quit - Hornsea, where else.

🚧UPDATE: ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE 🚧

📍 CINEMA STREET | 15th – 20th July 2026📍

As part of preparations for Hornsea Carnival (17th–19th July 2026), Cinema Street will be closed to public vehicles starting:

🕓 Wednesday 15th July at 4:00 PM

This is to allow safe access for large fairground vehicles entering the park.

🚗 Important:

Please ensure your car is moved from the car park before this time.

Hornsea Carnival cannot be held responsible for any damage to vehicles left in the area.

The road will reopen to public traffic at 16:00 PM on Monday 20th July.
