Just under a week until our very first guests arrive at The Reading Rooms! 🎉

After months of planning, decorating, building furniture, and adding those all-important finishing touches, it’s hard to believe we’re finally here.

We’re incredibly proud of how everything has come together and can’t wait to welcome our first guests through the door. Even better, this is just the beginning, with a busy summer ahead and plenty of memories waiting to be made.

What a fantastic holiday we’ve had making memories, relaxing, and enjoying some much-needed family time in the sunshine. ☀️🌴

Now it’s time to head home, get back to work, and finish preparing for a busy summer season ahead.

After a busy few weeks getting everything ready at The Reading Rooms, we’re finally slowing down for the weekend… and yes, we’ll absolutely be unwinding with a bit of Eurovision tonight 👀✨

Love it or hate it, there’s something about the glitter, dramatic key changes and questionable dance routines that makes it impossible not to watch 😂

After months of planning, painting, building furniture and adding all the finishing touches… The Reading Rooms are finally complete and officially guest ready ✨

It’s been amazing watching everything come together and we honestly couldn’t be happier with how the space has turned out. From the character features to the cosy finishing touches, every detail has been carefully thought out to create the perfect relaxing stay.

We’re now ready to welcome our very first guests and can’t wait for people to experience The Reading Rooms for themselves 🤍

6 years running we’ve been awarded a Blue Flag!!

Why go abroad when you can holiday in beautiful Hornsea? ☀️ 🌊 🍦 🚤 🚶🏼

Hornsea beach has been awarded a 2026 blue flag. The town have now earned a Blue Flag for six years running

Hornsea and Withernsea have both been awarded Blue Flag status in the internationally recognised scheme, announced today (Friday 15 May) by leading environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy.

Bridlington South, Bridlington North and Wilsthorpe have also been honoured with Seaside Awards in the annual programme recognising the UK’s best beaches.

Hornsea, Withernsea and Wilsthorpe all recorded ‘excellent’ water quality results as part of the awards, with Bridlington North recording ‘good’ and Bridlington South ‘sufficient’.
