Old Ing - idyllic escape in the Yorkshire Dales Old Ing is an idyllic rural escape in the Yorkshire Dales. The double and twin rooms can be booked separately or together.

A remote farmhouse high on the moors above Horton in Ribblesdale with two fabulous rooms available for weekends or longer holidays. Old Ing is a remote Yorkshire Dales farmhouse with two fabulous rooms available for holidays. The house is situated high on the moors on the foothills of Pen-y-ghent, with views across to Whernside and the Ribblehead Viaduct from the front gate. There are walking and cycle trails on the doorstep, including the Pennine Way/Bridleway and Yorkshire 3 Peaks. This is a dark skies area, perfect for star gazing. We are surrounded by a working farm, so the sheep are our only close neighbours. The perfect tranquil hideaway - no distractions except for stunning views!

It's the 62nd 3 Peaks Cyclo-Cross on Sunday, the toughest and biggest cyclo-cross event in the UK, crossing all of the Yorkshire 3 Peaks and then some. We have competitors from Slovenia and Manchester staying with us, and wish very good luck to them and all the other crazy cyclists competing!
