Six weeks of summer holidays in tourism & hospitality… ☀️🚐⛺🍺

“Can we check in early?”
“No, we haven’t booked…”
“Can you put us next to our friends?”
“Can we move pitches?”
“I’ve forgotten my tent poles…”
“Can someone show us to our pitch?”
“Is the pool heated?”
“Can we book the pool?”
“Can I get WiFi from my tent?”
“Why haven’t I got any phone signal?”
“Are you still serving food?”
“Can we order separately, but have it all to come out at the same time?”
“Can I have 8 ice creams?”
“Have you got vanilla?”
“I know we're early but can we check into the bungalow?”
“Can we have a late checkout?”

Meanwhile, amongst the chaos, staff are saying…
“I CANNOT WAIT FOR SEPTEMBER!”
“ROLL ON THE SCHOOLS GOING BACK!” 😂

Then September actually arrives… 🍂
No chaos.
Just a handful of caravans and tents, and somehow MORE SEAGULLS THAN CUSTOMERS 🐦😂

Staff:
“Lovely, isn’t it?”
“Beautiful.”
“So peaceful.”

“Hope it picks up a bit this weekend.” 😂

🍽️ Guess what’s back this Sunday… SUNDAY LUNCH! 🙌

After a few weeks off (and by “off” we mean a VERY busy summer holidays! 😅), our Sunday Lunch is making its return this Sunday, 6th September.

Come and enjoy a delicious 2 course lunch — main & dessert served between midday and 3.00pm.

Well, that’s the summer holidays done for another year! ☀️ And somehow they’ve absolutely flown by… although we’re not sure we’d have said that while we were in the middle of them 😂

We’re now heading into the final four months of the season and there’s still plenty to come! Halloween plans are taking shape 🎃, Christmas is already being talked about 🎄 and yes… New Year’s Eve plans are confirmed! 🥂 We’ve gone for something a little different for New Year this time around… 👀 When do we reckon we’re allowed to tell you? 😂

☀️ AND JUST LIKE THAT… THE SUMMER HOLIDAYS ARE OVER! ☀️

WOW, what a summer! 🤩

We've been absolutely spoilt with glorious sunshine and some seriously hot weather! 🥵 There may have been a few rainy days towards the end, but summer… we really can’t fault you! 🌞💛

And what a busy few weeks it’s been! 😂 The bookings kept coming, the arrivals kept arriving and the phones kept ringing 📞, ice cream scooping became an unexpected fitness programme 🍦💪, the kitchen printer provided the soundtrack to summer 🎶, the chalets kept turning over and the washing machines kept spinning 🧺, we battled to keep the ice and ice lolly freezers full 🧊 and pulled enough pints to fill the swimming pool! 🍺.

And somehow, we’ve made it through the madness of the summer holidays! But would we have had it any other way? Absolutely not! ❤️ (Although maybe ask us again after a few quieter days… 🤣)

A HUGE thank you to every single person who stayed with us, visited us or simply popped in this summer – we hope you had a fantastic time, made lots of memories and enjoyed every moment of your time with us 🏕

And of course, we couldn’t wrap up the summer without a few very important thank yous…⬇️

🥳🎤 To all of our summer entertainers – children’s entertainers, special characters, soloists, duos and bands – thank you for keeping everyone entertained through one very hot summer! And to those inside the character costumes… hats off to you – although you probably wanted yours off! 😂👏

🚚 📦 To all of our suppliers – we know you’ve been just as busy behind the scenes, keeping everything stocked and the deliveries coming. Thank you!

🛡️🔦 To our security team – thank you for being part of our summer season, from patrolling the fields to being on hand throughout those busy summer nights.

👏 And finally, a HUGE thank you to our incredible staff! It’s been non stop at times, with long shifts, early mornings, late nights and everything in between. Your hard work throughout such a busy summer certainly hasn’t gone unnoticed 🌟

But summer ending certainly doesn’t mean we’re finished… 👀 As we head into the ‘BER’ months, there’s still PLENTY to look forward to! 🍂✨

🎶 Another Brilliant Night of Live Music 🎻

Although for most of the evening they were more “Strung Apart” after a slight mishap involving the fiddle being left at the previous venue… 1hr 15mins away! 🤦‍♀️😂 Cue a 2½ hour rescue mission!

Meanwhile, the show went on with a brilliant solo performance. The crowd were up, singing along and the atmosphere was fab! 🎶🙌

The fiddle finally made its grand entrance for the last couple of songs and Strung Together were officially reunited! 😂🎻

A huge thank you to Strung Together Duo for keeping the music going and giving us such a fantastic night! 👏🎻🎶

It’s been a super fantastic summer and I honestly can’t thank you enough. 🥹

Thank you to every single one of you beauties that came into the bakery, supported us, queued up, bought the goods and kept us ridiculously busy all summer long. 🖤
