Ashleigh has been staying with us this week. I introduced her to the joys of Hilbre Island. This would be one of my most recommended walks to all our visitors . Tides times permitted . Yesterday we were fairly lucky as weather fair and whilst a late high tide we still enjoyed an hour in the island before returning home late afternoon. We also were treated to a few close up visits from a few of the adult seals enjoying a swim whilst the rest of the colony could be heard from the sandbank as the tide receeded .

Well, at No.66 we welcome many people from across the globe .
Our lovely guests this week from South Korea were here for the Liverpool matches. A tad disappointed that Liverpool didn’t manage a single goal for them ( and the rest of us fans ..)
But they still had a great time ! Loved our dog Roxy and their comfortable bed!

Every year I like to post a picture of our cherry tree in bloom. Here’s the 2024 display. ( a few blooms yet to appear)
We are getting busy now! If you live locally and have family wanting to visit but you don’t quite have the space in your home … we might be a great solution ! It seems to have become one of the most popular reasons for why guests stay.

It’s been a fantastic year at No.66. What with Eurovision , the Open golf championship and other wonderful things happening locally we have met so many great people ! It’s often people visiting their relatives who live here which is always lovely for us as hosts .
Our guests without exception have been fabulous and appreciated all we offer.
We look forward to 2024, and we hope to see lots of familiar faces and welcome new ones.
Have a great Christmas and a very happy 2024 .

We are delighted to announce that after a short closure we are back with a brand new guest bathroom. We’ve listened to guests and now have a seperate bath and shower - so no more ‘climbing’ into the bath for a shower ! We hope you will like it and we look forward to welcoming back guests, both old and new !

We have welcomed so many lovely people to our home this year. Thank you all.
We are closing our doors for a month this October to allow for some refurbishments that should make the house even more comfortable for future guests. Watch this space ! Enjoy the rest of your summer .
