Whistlestop Valley is a popular visitor attraction featuring narrow-gauge steam engines, outdoor playgrounds, a jumping pillow, a dessert parlour, a miniature ride-on railway, a cafe, a large free car park, a gift/toy shop, exclusive toddler days, special events and experiences throughout the year. Whistlestop Valley is open to the public on most weekends, Bank Holidays and local school holidays from mid-February to the end of December, with exclusive toddler/ preschooler days on selected term-time Fridays.

Did you know that Hoodlands Farm Campsite is less than a 10 minute walk from the beautiful Langsett Reservoir?This circular walk is approximately 3.5 miles which takes you through both woodland and moorlands. They class the 3.5 mile route as more adventurous due to uneven terrain, however there is an alternative 2.5 mile route where you will experience wider surfaced paths and gentle inclines. Once you have completed the route you can either enjoy a refreshment break or a spot of food from either the Wagon And Horses, Langsett pub where the beer garden over looks the resevoir or pop across the road to the Bank View Cafe. Both establishments are child and dog friendly, just check on opening days and times to avoid disappointment. 😁
