The Olive Branch Inn Accommodation was first offered here to help refugees fleeing oppression in Russia. We have a steak night every Tuesday.

�Our traditional road side Inn was built around 1830, and one of the first ever landlords Joseph Sykes ran The Olive Branch as 'an orderly house, no gambling; swearing; or drunkenness' and never opened on S

undays. They were housed for the night by Joseph who at the time could only offer clean straw in the stables. Fast forward over 160 years, and it was our families turn to take The Olive Branch into a new chapter in its long history. Our Rooms,
We reinstated over night accommodation back in 2002, but we now can offer a little more than simple straw and warmth. For visitors to the area our rooms are available seven nights a week bed and breakfast, and for those looking to dine with us we have our very popular dinner, bed and breakfast package. Our Food,
Over the last 23 years our food has developed and evolved into what we now like to call, Modern English / Classic French. All are ingredients are the finest we can find, and truly represent our countries great land and shores, when we refer to our recipe books its often the old french classics that we prefer. Even with a small team we are sure you’ll be very happy with the choices on our menus; depth of flavour and cooking accuracy that will rival many of our areas restaurants. Our Dining rooms
Are dining tables are dotted in small rooms around a fire and traditional pub bar, and to the rear we have a large dining room with fantastic views across the valley, towards the river colne and huddersfield narrow canal. Our Bar,
Our bar is open and we serve food every evening excluding Mondays, and on a Sunday we are open for food and drink all day. We pour local ales, a vast gin selection and present some great wines from all across the globe

Our Menus,
We offer four menus served throughout the week, our main a la carte menu is always available. We also offer a fixed priced menu for early diners, and our Yorkshire roast menu is served every Sunday all day. Amongst everything we offer we truly believe it is our warm and friendly welcome our guest love above everything else, when you visit us you'll discover a little gem, that has never been in nor out of fashion, but has stayed true to its values for over two decades, and is still going from strength to strength

Our honey & wholegrain mustard pigs in blankets are so good they might be staying on into January.
Available as a bar nibble or a starter, they’re rich, sticky, and properly moreish — and definitely not just for Christmas dinner.

Soft, succulent locally reared turkey breast, duck-fat roast Maris Piper potatoes, parsnips roasted with honey and butter, carrots braised in orange, star anise and thyme, sticky red cabbage with port and redcurrants, proper pigs in blankets, chestnut stuffing, sprouts finished with sea salt, and our cranberry sauce made with a gentle hint of spice — all brought together with a rich, full-bodied gravy.
