That has been a very busy and enjoyable period of hosting through summer and into Autumn for a wide range of guests.

Many being new to Holt Bank, with others as returners for regular visits, be it pleasure or work reasons.

Please get in touch if you or anyone you know are planning a visit to our region and needs comfortable self catering accommodation, especially if looking for a break with peace and quiet over the festive period.

We have made a couple of small changes, with a new comfy leather chair in the upstairs sitting area and new plants by the gate.

Its so good to receive a really positive review. This one is just in from a lovely couple who stayed at Holt Bank for 3 nights over the weekend.

"A wonderful warm welcome from Ann & John on arrival.
A fabulous cosy place to stay during our few days 'adventuring' in the local area with fantastic walks and a Saturday morning Parkrun in Greenhead Park which was just at the top of the road. What more could anyone need?!
The cottage was lovely and clean and was kitted with everything that was needed for our stay. The kitchen had more than required.
We even managed a sunny sit outside tea in the courtyard on the tucked away table & chairs. Thank you Ann & John, we had a lovely time and it was very much appreciated."

"We had a 3 night stay at Holt Bank and were met by John and Ann, who are very friendly, welcoming and gave us some great recommendations for places to visit and eating out.

The former coach house has been converted into a lovely cottage, with everything we needed for our stay. It is very clean and tidy with some nice finishing touches.

The outside courtyard with available seating was also a bonus.

We look forward to visiting again, to see the places we didn't have time for on this trip."

"The property, a renovated, charming old coach house, was easy to find and John met us immediately upon our arrival. The driveway has ample off road parking and, despite being located in a busy road by the park, the whole property was set well back and felt private and cosy throughout our stay. John is so warm and welcoming which really makes a difference. His and Ann’s house is a few feet away from the property but you would never know because of their thoughtful wall screening and unobtrusive presence.
There are outside spaces to sit in the sunshine, everywhere is spotlessly clean, facilities easy to use and, if you like reading, there is a bookshelf full of books in the bedroom. We met Ann as we were leaving and she is equally as lovely as John (thank you for the books Ann!). We are visiting the area every couple of months while our son temporarily resides nearby and we will definitely be returning to this special little place."

"Holt Bank holiday cottage
We had the pleasure of staying at this cottage in the lead up to our wedding celebrations. We wanted our own space where we were able to come and go as we please and somewhere near town and all the amenities.
This was the perfect place for us!! Everything that you could ever need was there!! It was also very clean and well decorated throughout. To top it off we received a bottle of ch*****ne, wild berries from the garden and a card wishing us well in our new life together."
Ann and John were so welcoming and warm and really made us feel at home. Thank you so much for making our trip to Huddersfield a fantastic one!!
