"The property, a renovated, charming old coach house, was easy to find and John met us immediately upon our arrival. The driveway has ample off road parking and, despite being located in a busy road by the park, the whole property was set well back and felt private and cosy throughout our stay. John is so warm and welcoming which really makes a difference. His and Ann’s house is a few feet away from the property but you would never know because of their thoughtful wall screening and unobtrusive presence.
There are outside spaces to sit in the sunshine, everywhere is spotlessly clean, facilities easy to use and, if you like reading, there is a bookshelf full of books in the bedroom. We met Ann as we were leaving and she is equally as lovely as John (thank you for the books Ann!). We are visiting the area every couple of months while our son temporarily resides nearby and we will definitely be returning to this special little place."

The property was exactly as described in the listing—if anything, even better in person. All the amenities listed were available and worked perfectly, which made the stay really comfortable and stress-free. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully arranged, showing real attention to detail.

"Holt Bank holiday cottage
We had the pleasure of staying at this cottage in the lead up to our wedding celebrations. We wanted our own space where we were able to come and go as we please and somewhere near town and all the amenities.
This was the perfect place for us!! Everything that you could ever need was there!! It was also very clean and well decorated throughout. To top it off we received a bottle of champagne, wild berries from the garden and a card wishing us well in our new life together."
Ann and John were so welcoming and warm and really made us feel at home. Thank you so much for making our trip to Huddersfield a fantastic one!!

Our latest guests have left us a super 5 star review after their New Year stay.

"We stayed at Holt Bank for 2-nights as part of a new year break and just wish we’d booked for longer. The converted coach house is perfect for 2 people with good size kitchen and living area downstairs, and a large bedroom and decent sized upstairs.

John and Ann were friendly without being obtrusive and the welcome platter was a lovely gesture.

The property was pristinely clean and perfectly quiet with a good size parking space and even though it’s on the grounds of the owner’s home we didn’t feel overlooked at all.

Perfectly located just a short walk from Huddersfield town and a good base for exploring further afield. We’d definitely stay here again if ever in the area."

Little treats for our Guests staying at Holt Bank for a few days over the end of December / New Year : ) The heatings on, cosy cushions on the sofa, lots of books and comfy chairs to settle down in to read....... I may just ask them if they mind if I join them !!!!!
