Recently renovated as a 7 bedroom B&B, The Southgate was taken over by new owners Mick and Sue in 2014 who always extend a warm welcome to all guests, new or old. They undertake all aspects of running the business, and wish to make your stay at The Southgate as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Breakfast is served in the spacious dining room, where there is a selection of cereals, yoghurts, j
uices and fruit on hand. Toast and a hot drink will be brought to your table while you are waiting for your hearty Full-English to be cooked. If you prefer something lighter, just ask, and dietary requirements are gladly catered for by prior arrangement. The area offers scenic coastal and country walks, golf courses, cycling routes, surfing, great beaches, historic landmarks and much more! The Wold Top Brewery is close by, as is the RSPB Bempton reserve and the famous seaside resorts of Filey, Scarborough and Bridlington are a short drive or bus journey away. The B&B has a free public car park to the rear, with limited on-street parking to the front of the building, and assistance with your luggage is available if required on your arrival. There is also a safe area to store any large sports equipment such as bicycles and golf clubs, and to clean and dry muddy boots & clothing. All rooms at The Southgate have an en-suite shower room, tea & coffee making facilities, freeview TV, free WiFi, complementary toiletries, with towels and linen provided for your stay, a hairdryer is available in each room plus an iron and ironing board are available on request. Families are very welcome at The Southgate, with our largest suite being capable of hosting a family of 5! Infants up to 24 months stay free, and a travel cot is available on request. There are also high chairs available in the dining room, and facilities to heat any baby food or milk for you.
