The Sherborne

In 2018, I convinced Shirley Bowron and Trace that they shouldn’t buy a holiday home abroad for a number of reasons so they decided to buy this little gem in Hunstanton instead.

For a year, they enjoyed it together and made it their second home by the sea. Trace loved it - he relaxed as soon as he arrived. Sitting on the decking and watching the world go by was his favourite thing to do.

The world was cruel and in 2019 we lost Trace. The Sherborne became somewhere we could go and remember him at his happiest and most relaxed.

We said we would keep it as long as we could make it work financially. Unfortunately the time has come to admit that this is no longer possible and today we signed it back over to Parkdean.

We have made some fabulous memories here and know that our guests have done the same.

Thank you to everyone who had stayed at The Sherborne and helped us keep it for the last 7 years.

Our lovely little caravan is all wrapped up for the winter. The yearly safety checks are being completed and some little maintenance jobs are being carried out so we are now taking bookings and getting ready for the 2025 season.

We have a couple of weeks already penciled in the diary for people who return year after year but there is plenty of space left in the diary for you to enjoy your little get away.

After another year of price hikes by Parkdean, we may have to review our prices. The price of gas bottles alone has jumped up by £30 per bottle.

If you book a stay for this year by the end of February, the prices will be the same as last year:
💛£100 per night school holidays
💛£85 per weekend night during term time
💛£75 per weekday night during term time
💛A minimum of a 2 night stay.

The stay doesn’t have to be taken before then, just booked in before then.

As always, we’re not here to make money just trying to cover the ground rent so we can all enjoy Trace’s little slice of tranquility for a little bit longer.

It’s that time of year again when we are starting to welcome guests to The Sherborne.

Weekends are booking up and we are looking forward to the sunshine!

This year we would love to see the adventures of Sydney the Seagull.

So it’s come to that time of year again where we have to close up for the winter and get prepared for next year.

We have opened our calendar for 2024.

The site opens in mid February so we will be taking bookings from 1st March.
For 2024, we are able to keep the prices as this year.

School holidays £100 per night
Midweek term time £75 per night
Weekend term time £85 per night

Please remember this is our family holiday home that was Trace’s happy place. He loved his time at The Sherborne.

This is not a profit making opportunity. The site fees are around £6000 each year so by renting it out for some of the season, it helps us (and you guys) enjoy Trace’s little retreat by the sea for a few more years.
