Clownfish are immune to anemone stings! Clownfish have a much thicker outer slime coat than other fish. This layer either tricks the anemone into thinking the fish is part of itself, or lacks the chemicals that tell the anemone's stinging cells.

🌊This partnership helps both creatures. The anemone gives the clownfish a safe home away from larger predators, and the clownfish keeps the anemone clean, chases away bad fish, and brings it food. How amazing✨
