Had some beautiful sunny but super cold and icy days of late, perfect for invigorating swims below ancient Tap o’ Noth hill fort!
We’re very lucky to have this beautiful spring fed pond on the land. Great for a morning swim like this or to cool down in after using the hot tub or sauna.

'Muggans', our cozy wee shepherds hut, named after the Mugwort that grows by the doorstep and through the hedge that surrounds this beautiful space. The perfect place to make your hideaway.

We leave our wood fired bath full of fresh water for our guests arrival so that all there is left to do is make a fire...

Hello everyone! A quick update on how things are going here at TAP:RETREAT.
We are still on track for opening, though have had a slight delay waiting for the toilet facilities (Covid stuff making materials difficult to source) to be built. We've been adding more furnishings and campfire goodies, including the fantastic Kelly Kettle for speedy water boiling, some lovely cast iron cookware, sturdy enamel plates and a lovely old travelling trunk (James's Grandfather's!) that doubles as a fridge/cool box.
We REALLY hope we will be ready to take bookings soon (thank you for all the enquiries!), for now though, here's some more photos!

How the hut and garden area is looking at the moment - bath in place, dead hedge pretty much completed. Just need to work on the kitchen and washing up area....oh and fix a garden gate!
