This stunning rare gem of a place, tucked away in the most serene landscape, at the foothills of the Cairngorm National Park, with its luxurious architecture paying homage to sustainability was a discovery that blew mine and my Clare's minds!

We visited this place on Clare's birthday, very recently. The lunchtime taster menu, with wine pairing for company, was simply a treat for the senses. It is not often that both of us are speachless whilst eating...but the variety of the 6 courses, and unbelievable gastronomic senses coursing throughout the various body components that are involved in taste sensations was simply stunning!! I doubt there are sufficient superlatives to describe our experience.

Our waiter, Scott, was extremely knowledgeable about all of the wines and whisky accompanying each course and a pleasure to talk with. As were all of the staff.

We cannot recommend this recently opened dining experience highly enough. It's a dining experience akin to top London restaurants...but this one is nestled in such a perfect location. We took a short video from inside the building - check it out 🤩

You will need to book, and their booking system is seamless and easy to use.

Exciting developments here at Drumdelgie House - superfast broadband is on its way to our cottages!! The ground work is now completed, (as per these photos) and fibre cables are now laid underground!! Once connected, we will benefit from internet download speeds up up to 1.5Gbps. Or in old money, 1500Mbps. The current speeds average around 15Mbps. That will make things 100 times faster than what we have, currently!! This will be fibre right up to the cottages, rather than the older method of fibre to the nearest cabinets in the street, and then copper to the building. We cannot express how long we have campaigned for this, and it's finally happening. We accept that a large number of our negative comments have been specifically aimed at poor broadband - we get it. And there's only so many times that you can explain to people that given we live in a rural location, the infrastructure was just not there for decent broadband speeds. We needed to rely on 4G to a router, and WiFi from there. It was poor, for sure, but streamable at least. But soon, that problem will cease to exist. To say we are delighted is an understatement! We hope to see you see soon 🤩

Recently had some repairs done to the frontage of the barns. All of the old, rotten, boards removed and new cladding installed on the gable ends. The look and feel of the barns is now much more aesthetic to the eyes, and finally we are dried-in. Internally, a major supporting wall (supports the roof) has been rebuilt, so we can now rest assured the roof won't cave in, if/when that wall collapsed. Why is that important? Well, snow is very heavy, and we are due a load of snow week...little things. Hope you have an amazing day.
