Some (albeit slow!) progress is being made on the Temple Footbridge.

The Environment Agency is holding a public meeting to share the latest developments, review the work carried out so far and give attendees the opportunity to speak directly with members of the project team.

If you would like to attend, the meeting will take place on Friday 16 October 2026, from 4.00pm to 7.00pm, at Marlow Rugby Club (SL7 1QU).

Hopefully, the meeting will provide some clearer information on the next steps, and we’ll be able to share a further update afterwards.

Looking for something different this weekend? The Gravity Grand Prix is in Cookham Dean today - an annual downhill race where speed, creativity, and pure gravity collide in spectacular fashion!

Since 2007, daredevil racers have strapped into homemade karts, braved the slopes, and entertained a cheering crowd of thrill-seekers in their thousands.

Hurley Riverside Park was thrilled to receive a VisitEngland ROSE (Recognition of Service Excellence) Award at a special ceremony held at the beautiful Post Barn in Berkshire this week.

Richard and Janet Burfitt were there to proudly accept the award, which recognises accommodation providers across England that go the extra mile to give their guests an outstanding experience.

The school holidays are over and, sorry kids, it’s back to school! We hope everyone had a fantastic summer and enjoyed plenty of time with us here at Hurley Riverside Park.

If you haven’t managed to stay with us yet this year, don’t worry – there’s still plenty of time! We’re open for another two months, giving you the chance to enjoy a quieter break by the Thames as summer gradually gives way to autumn.
