There’s a lovely walk from Valley of the Rocks to Lynton, then down to Lynmouth and onwards up the East Lyn River to Watersmeet House. So much to explore and history to discover. 🥾 🌊 🛶 🌳 🏞️🥾

Almost a 7 mile round walk but grab a ride on the Lynton and Lynmouth funicular Cliff Railway on the way back which is the highest and steepest completely water powered railway in the world! Or walk into Lynton and Lynmouth and back to Valley of the Rocks and then take the car to the car park near Watersmeet House!

Heads up - phone signal isn’t great for paying for car park by the apps so take change!

Lovely day out last week, haven’t been here since I was little! The girls really enjoyed themselves, the animals were really friendly and bonus that there were hardly any queues… I think Chris did 20 laps on the rollercoaster! 😂

Delicious carvery at lunchtime today, we had to try out what some of our guests had been telling us! It did not disappoint and was great value for money especially on a weekday too! Can’t believe it’s taken us how many years to visit here! Definitely recommend 😋

Lovely day out on the train down to Exeter for what was supposed to be a rainy day but ended up beautifully sunny ☀️
The four of us had off peak group save tickets which worked out at £9 return each, girls happy 🙈 with sushi 🍣 bubble tea🧋and a bit of shopping, then ended up with a an hour playing ping pong 🏓 at Princesshay.

Delicious dinner at Lynbay Fish & Chip Shop tonight. Lightly battered, not greasy and the girls loved that they put the TV on for them and Madagascar was showing while they cooked it, we only waited a few minutes. Friendly staff and great gluten free and vegan menu too.

We’re almost there, the weather has really held back the job of laying the slabs and sorting drainage. There’s a little painting, grouting and pointing left to do this week and the house will be ready for the summer. It’s been worth the wait. 😊
Now we just need some blue sky and sunshine!
