Leave you tent and camping equipment at home……….
- Beautiful Lotus Belle tents furnished with proper beds and mattresses sleeping 4 people, & room for a further little one. Each tent comfortably sleeps 4 in a double bed, a single bed and a day bed made up ready for your arrival. Children will love the cow themed duvet covers- just a small reminder that you are staying on a dairy farm. Tea lights,
fairy lights and lanterns provide a lovely tranquil atmosphere. For a family of 5 we can provide a travel cot or additional mattress or you can bring your own small inflatable bed for a small child.
- Your own private facilities. We provide you with your own toilet adjacent to your tent. Your outdoor kitchen area is equipped with crockery, cutlery, cooking equipment, a cool box, a gas barbecue and picnic table. However, our fire pits are just the job for those looking for a true camping cooking experience. Just across the field you will find your own shower room furnished with hot gas shower, mirror and plenty of room for all your toiletries.
- A small, quiet, family run site. Perfect for families and couples, or book the whole site for a large group. With just 3 tents (and a maximum of 15 people) housed within a 4 acre field you are assured of plenty of space to roam freely, relax and get back to nature.
- Set on a dairy farm within a unique field, great for attracting wildlife. The field was originally a wetland area but it has been sensitively drained whilst maintaining some of its original features. A small stream transverses the field and little pockets of marshland remain which are great at attracting frogs, insects and birds. Children also love darting in and out of the reeds- they are handy for games of hide and seek too.
- Meet our animals
You can collect your own eggs fresh from our chickens and meet our family of guinea pigs. The calf sheds are nearby so have a peak through the window at feeding time. You may be lucky enough to see the farm cows walking back from the fields for milking or the farm tractors working in the fields nearby.
- An area to take refuge if the weather is unkind. Our play-barn is perfect for those ‘not so kind’ weather days. Here you will find dining tables and chairs, games and activities for children, a shared washing machine, fridge freezer, microwave, electric points and an area for drying clothes.
- Near the beach
Just 5-15 minutes drive from North Devon’s best beaches; Ilfracombe, Woolacombe, Croyde, Putsborough, Saunton or a small cove- the choice is yours! Perhaps visit a different sandy beach each day of your holiday.....
- The local area
West Down village is less than a mile away and hosts a well-stocked community shop, a local pub serving traditional food and a community field, equipped with a lovely children's play area. The seaside Victorian town of Ilfracombe is a 5 minute drive away. Here you will find local amenities, beaches, shops, restaurants,a harbour, fishing and boat trips, Bicclescombe park, Ilfracombe Aquarium to name just a few attractions. Exmoor National Park is reached within a 30 minute picturesque drive. The theme parks, Watermouth Castle, Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, Exmoor Zoo and The Big Sheep are all within easy reach.
