Each year, coastguard rescue teams respond to an alarming number of incidents involving missing children at beaches around the UK.

With a beach safety wristband, HM Coastguard can easily contact parents and guardians to let them know their children have been found.

Simply, write your mobile phone number on your child's wristband so that you can be called and reunited if you get separated.

In an emergency at the coast, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.

A reminder To all visitors pleas, please respect the sea! Always check tides times! it’s free just google it! Today i saw a family stranded on rocks at hele beach instinctively I reacted and swam to assist I called on a group of local sea swimmers the hele merbelles and between us we safely rescued a family of 5 from the rapidly in coming tide. They got very wet and very cold! We could of rang for the rnli but choose to swim out to rescue them! So very proud of the 3. Children that swam back to shore fully clothed this is a holiday story to tell! Seriously though Enjoy our coast climb the rocks but please put your safety first today could of ended a lot differently 😍
