A guest just complimented me on my use of chemical-free cleaning products, as well as refillable plant-based handwash etc. She suggested I ‘big-up’ my sustainability credentials – so here’s a quick spotlight on my eco-friendly side of my wee business!

All my cleaning products are plant-based (Ecover, Miniml, Green Bear), I refill from the two refill shops on our High St (I’m a big supporter of shopping local!). My energy supplier is Octopus, I have safe bicycle space and keep the terrace + outdoor spaces clear of weeds by hand – oh and provide chemical-free wood wool for sparking up the chimenea.
Green tourism certifications are expensive and call for some sustainability levels which are particularly hard to comply with, but I do my best…
