Roasted chicken supreme, confit chicken & mushroom puff pastry pot pie, sautéed wild mushrooms, truffle dauphinoise, roasted kale, forestière chicken jus.

Something très special is coming to the Ox…

Introducing our French Tapas — three evenings of elegant, delicate, comforting French-inspired dishes, with just the right amount of je ne sais quoi. ✨

Usually our tapas runs every Thursday, but November is a little different… with our Festive Fayre kicking off on the final Thursday, our French affair is three weeks only:

Thursday 5th • Thursday 12th • Thursday 19th November

Think classic French flavours, beautiful ingredients and proper comfort food, all with a little Ox twist.

T&C | Our lovely Lois will be waiting at the other end of the phone, ready to get you booked in. Please call us directly to book, as a £20pp deposit is required upon reservation, non-refundable after Wednesday 16th December.

We’re expecting the phone lines to be VERY busy, so please keep trying if you don’t get through straight away. We promise Lois hasn’t gone for a pedicure… she’s just going to be VERY popular today!

Bookings available from 6pm - 9.30pm. Tables before 7pm are allocated for 2 hours & tables from 7pm are yours for the evening’s celebrations. Children under 12 are welcome for bookings before 7pm.

Born at our twinnies’ birthday BBQ, loved by a house full of Durham Ox foodies, then taken back into The Ox’ kitchen by Chef Jay & refined into a NYE-worthy starter. We loved it so much, we put our name to it!

Inspired by one of the best starters Jay and Lauren had in Lindos, the very place they are getting married next year.

This girl is an absolute machine! She picked up the ropes so quickly and has come on leaps and bounds. It’s been so lovely watching her confidence grow and seeing more and more of her personality come out.
