BIG DAY AHEAD TOMORROW!

Were going to get this pillbox watertight (with the exception of one missing, presumed smashed, window pane!)

9 months ago this gunhouse was damp, cold and a crumbling pile of spoiled concrete... in less than 23 hours this is going to start feeling like a unique, one of a kind holiday home.

Creation of Willow Pool part 2.

As a fisherman it had always been a dream of mine to build my own lake... and Willow Pool enabled me to tick that one off my list. Im not sure kirsty shared the dream looking at the pics ;)

We've stocked the lake with carp, tench, rudd and perch and as you can see my family and I have been doing some fishing on it this year which has made many happy memories. I hope to one day soon open the lake for guests to enjoy, for now though our visiting pooches get to enjoy it at their leisure!

River management day here and with around 400 metres of the Dowlish Brook on our land and roughly 200 metres of drainage ditches its no small job!

Another small step forward.

Hopefully another 10 days and we will be completely watertight so we can move onto the inside renovation (and judging by the weather today it wont be a day too soon!).

Oh my god! I've genuinely woken up excited about doing guttering and drainage today... someone send help ;)

This is one of those jobs ive been planning for a long time and it feels like were coming to the end of a long hard stage of exterior waterproofing. Ill show you the results later

Its been lovely to welcome Prince William, the future king of England to Ilminster today. Ilminster is a wonderful town that is really on the up at the moment and its great to see it getting the recognition it deserves.

We are very proud to be a part of this community and offer the opportunity for guests from around the country and abroad to visit and experience it for themselves.

A hugely exciting day for the town!
