Trouble with our Rocket

It looks effortless on the plate. In the market garden, it is another matter entirely.

Celebrating a birthday, anniversary or another special occasion?

Whether you're planning an intimate dinner, a family gathering or a larger celebration, we have a range of spaces to suit the occasion, from cosy corners in the bar and our restaurant to a private dining room for something a little more special.

If you're travelling from further afield, why not make a weekend of it? Stay in our beautifully restored Farmhouse or The Smithy, available as self-catering accommodation or on a bed and breakfast basis.

With our own bakery and market garden on site, the beautiful National Trust's Barrington Court just next door, and the rolling South Somerset countryside all around us, The Barrington Boar is the perfect place to gather, celebrate and create lasting memories.

We’re looking for someone with proven kitchen experience who takes pride in great food and would like to be part of our small, busy team here in Barrington, Somerset.
The role includes a competitive salary:
> £34k per year plus share of service charge.
> 3 days off each week
> Training alongside some other exceptionally talented chefs.
> working with fresh produce from our own market garden & bakery.
> 28 days’ holiday
> Gym membership

Every dish starts with exceptional ingredients. We work closely with local farmers, growers, fishermen and artisan producers who share our passion for quality.

Alongside that, we grow produce in our own market garden and bake fresh bread and pastries in our on-site bakery The Barrington Bakery bringing the very best of Somerset to your table.
