PINECROFT Self-Catering Lodges are set within a delightful 5 acre site in the Yorkshire Dales, an area renowned for rolling hills, timeless valleys and picturesque villages. Constructed from pine logs from the forests of Finland and Norway, our Lodges bring the essence of Scandinavia to one of the most beautiful

corners of the English countryside. All Lodges are centrally heated, well insulated and double glazed making Pinecroft an ideal holiday location whether on a warm summer evening or a crisp winter morning. The 5 smaller Lodges have 2 0r 3 bedrooms and accommodate 4 to 6 people. Holly has 3 bedrooms and accommodates 6 to 10 people. Beech has 3 bunk bedded rooms and accommodates 10 to 15 people. Timberlodge has 10 bunk bedded rooms and accommodates 20 to 48 people. Excellent value, delicious food can now be ordered from a local caterer and delivered to your Lodge. See the Food page for details. All Lodges are open throughout the year. Timberlodge, Holly and Beech are suitable for people with a disability. Well behaved pets are permitted in the 5 smaller Lodges. The local area offers a range of spectacular natural wonders, modern amenities and magnificent scenery including the famous Three Peaks of Ingleborough, Pen y ghent and Whernside. A 45 minute drive North will take you into the heart of Southern Lakeland and the pretty villages of Windermere, Bowness and Ambleside. Travel South and you will soon find yourself in the moorland of the impressive Trough of Bowland. The Fylde coast with its mix of bustling seaside resorts and empty sands are a 30 minute drive to the West.

👀 Where we'd send you to eat in Ingleton 🥘🍔

- GEM Café on Main Street is great for lunch in the village. Tables fill up fast on weekends, so go early or be ready to wait.

- The Wheatsheaf for Sunday lunch. 17th-century inn in the centre of the village, pub food done well, and they don't mind walking boots. Huge, sunny beer garden for when the weather's good!

- La Tavernetta, if you fancy something other than a roast. Small Italian on Main Street. Authentic Italian food... and the locals love it.

- The Marton Arms for a quiet pint. A ten-minute walk toward Thornton in Lonsdale, a 16th-century coaching inn, with well-kept cask ales. Very nice food, well worth a visit.

- The chippy in the centre of Ingleton for a Friday night. Tables at the front to enjoy them al fresco, or stroll down to the park and sit at one of the many benches and soak up the evening sun.

Did you know a midweek break at Pinecroft gives you four nights for the same price as a weekend three? 🏡

Monday to Friday, it’s the same cost, so you’re basically getting a free night. And midweek means quieter paths, easier parking, and a table at the pub without planning a week ahead.

Short breaks are now available right through the summer, including the school holidays, so if you’ve been putting it off, now’s a good time to have a look at what’s free.

🦔🐇🐦‍⬛Plenty going on around the lodges in June if you slow down for ten minutes. 👀
A few things worth keeping an eye out for this month:
Swallows and swifts overhead on warm evenings.
Curlew calling on the moors above Horton if you're up there early.
Yellow flag iris in flower in the wet patches along the River Greta.
Brown hares in the fields above the village at dusk, if you're lucky.
Oh, and hedgehogs... they are mostly about at dusk.

🌞 Seventeen hours of usable daylight in one day.
That's what Sunday 21 June gives you up here. Sunrise at half four, sunset at nearly a quarter to ten, and a Father's Day weekend sat right in the middle of it.

As of today, we are now offering short breaks in the summer holidays in our family lodges - either 3 nights from a Friday or 4 nights from a Monday.

Useful if you can't take a full week off, or if you're piecing the summer together around other plans.

Hope everyone made the most of the bank holiday weekend! ☀️

We’ve had guests coming and going all weekend and the Dales have looked absolutely stunning, if the photos people have been sharing with us are anything to go by, a few of you had a pretty good time out there.

🥾Doing the Three Peaks this year? You’d be starting ten minutes up the road.

Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. Around 24 miles, twelve hours if you’re going for the classic time, and the start at Horton-in-Ribblesdale is a short drive from Pinecroft.
Which means a lie-in instead of a two-hour drive before dawn, a proper breakfast, and a ten-minute trip back to the lodge when your legs have had enough.
