🥾Doing the Three Peaks this year? You’d be starting ten minutes up the road.

Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. Around 24 miles, twelve hours if you’re going for the classic time, and the start at Horton-in-Ribblesdale is a short drive from Pinecroft.
Which means a lie-in instead of a two-hour drive before dawn, a proper breakfast, and a ten-minute trip back to the lodge when your legs have had enough.

Going for it this year? Clockwise or anti-clockwise? Settle it in the comments. 🤨

Travelling as a group? Book a few lodges together.

Most of our smaller two and three-bedroom lodges sit close enough that you can spread three or four families across them and still feel like you're on one holiday. Kids vanish into the grounds with the others, parents get their own place, a proper kitchen and their own front door.

Five acres of space, a fire pit you can book for the evening, and Ingleton is ten minutes' walk away when someone runs out of milk.

Lodges and live availability are on the website.

A quiet one worth knowing about: Kingsdale.

Ten minutes from Pinecroft in the car, or a walk if you fancy it. Most guests have never heard of the place, and it tends to stay that way even in July.

Ingleborough on one side, Whernside on the other, the Lake District fells in the distance, and on a clear day you’ll pick out Morecambe Bay too.

Check out the Cheesepress Stone and at this time of year the skylarks are very vocal 🎵

Walks start at a couple of miles and go up from there. Take your pick.

Finish with a pint in the Marton Arms 🍺

📣We're hiring - part-time cleaner🧽🪣

Pinecroft is looking for a reliable cleaner to join our small housekeeping team. Mostly Mondays and Fridays (our changeover days), with some flexibility around the hours.

£15 an hour. Previous cleaning experience preferred. Own transport useful as we're a few minutes outside Ingleton.

😃 Hello May

Two bank holidays, half term tucked into the end of the month, and bluebells coming out in the woods. May does a lot of heavy lifting for us up here.

If you're already booked in with us this month, see you soon. If not, we've still got a handful of nights available to book across half-term week (25–31 May). Worth a look if you fancy the Dales without the campsite admin.

👀What’s on this weekend in the Dales:

🥾 Ride2Stride Festival (until 4th May): The Settle-Carlisle Walking & Music Festival, offering guided walks and live music, passes close to Ingleton.

🖼️ Early May Bank Holiday Craft Fair (Hawes, 3rd to 4th May): Located in the Market House in Wensleydale, featuring local art, pottery, and jewellery.

🎠 A bit further away, but Ilkley Carnival is on Monday 4th May

And then there's always plenty of walking straight from your lodge... The Ingleton Waterfalls Trail and of course the Yorkshire 3 Peaks
