8 miles south-east of Inverness just a few miles of the main A9 trunk road. In the heart of the Scottish Highlands, Auchnahillin provides an ideal base for touring the region, being within an easy car or motorbike journey of many attractions and amenities, and is ideally situated for several days out and activities or just a relaxing break close to nature. Half an hour's drive takes you to either the eastern or western shore of world-famous Loch Ness, and lots of other popular destinations such as Aviemore and the Cairngorms, the Black Isle and the rugged west and north highlands, the Moray Coast and further east, and the Spey Valley famous for its whisky trail, are within an easy drive. Capital of the Highlands, Inverness, is easily accessible within a 10-15 minute drive and offers all the benefits of a modern city including excellent facilities for shopping, eating out and entertainment. You can combine shopping with sightseeing around the Castle, Museum and Art Gallery and a relaxing stroll along the banks of the River Ness to the Cathedral and Ness Islands, Whin Park and the Caledonian Canal.
