What was originally booked as Culloden Battlefield, Clava Cairns and Elgin Cathedral end up dropping the first two locations replacing them with Spynie Palace & Pluscarden Abbey before finishing the day off with a brief stop at Cawdor Castle & Gardens. An interesting and eye opening tour in the company of Rabia Gregory, a professor of Religious studies from Missouri, and her mother Cathy.

A great day, a wonderfully informative film, easy to follow tour outlining the whisky production process from start to finish and a very generous tasting with 4 Cardhu Malts and a Whisky Highball Cocktail to finish. It’s generally a worry when you’ve had a house full of wonderful guests and they all check out the same day. Normally this results in signals being sent to the next bunch of guests instructing them to be difficult. We’ve learnt this phenomenon over the 15 years we’ve been doing this.

So, finally getting to the point, I’d like to say today’s new guests all seem to be wonderful as their predecessors.
