We’ve shared a few of our favourite routes to try while you're staying with us below:

🚴 The Great Glen Way (Fort Augustus to Inverness) trail hugging Loch Ness, with forest tracks and jaw-dropping views across the water.

🚴 South Loch Ness Trail. Quieter roads and trails along the less-travelled side of the loch.

🚴 Fort Augustus to Whitebridge Loop. A cracking route that brings you right back to us, winding through glens and forest as you make your way home.

🚴 Foyers to Whitebridge via General Wade's Military Road. A historic route steeped in Highland history, with some rewarding climbs and even better views.

All roads lead back to Whitebridge.

Before it was ever a hotel, Whitebridge was a stopping point on one of the wildest roads in Scotland. This map from 1840 shows our little corner of the Highlands as travellers would have known it then, sitting on General Wade's military road, built in 1732 to link Fort Augustus and Inverness after the Jacobite uprisings.
