๐ We have some very sad news to share.
Today we said goodbye to one of Irton Hallโs most loved residents, our beautiful, spotty, pot-bellied pig, Flo.
This morning, George went to give her breakfast as usual, but sadly she had passed away peacefully in her sleep. It was completely unexpected, and weโre all very upset.
Flo and her best friend, Annie, came to Irton Hall 8 years ago. We never knew exactly how old they were when they arrived, only that they were already into their later years. They came here to live out the rest of their lives in peace, with plenty of grass to roam, visitors to fuss over them, and endless treatsโฆ and thatโs exactly what they did. โค๏ธ
Flo was a truly special girl. She was absolutely enormous, incredibly soft, so gentle with everyone she met, and without a doubt the loudest snorer weโve ever heard! ๐ท๐ She brought smiles to hundreds of guests over the years, and if youโve ever visited Irton Hall, thereโs a good chance you stopped to say hello.
Our hearts also go out to her best friend and pen companion for life, Annie, who is already missing her.
Thank you for all the joy you brought to Irton Hall, Flo. Youโll never be forgotten, and the lawn wonโt be the same without you.
If you have any photos or memories of Flo from your visits over the years, weโd absolutely love it if you could share them. It would mean so much to us to see the memories she helped create. โค๏ธ
Sleep peacefully and snore loudly, special girl. ๐๐ท๐
