The Crab Shack is open once again 🦀

This summer, the tide has nudged us in a slightly different direction.

There’s been a noticeable rise in octopus around our shores - remarkable creatures: clever, curious, and, as it happens, every bit as fond of crab as our guests. We can’t help but admire their taste...

With less crab around, we don’t want to ask more of the sea than it can comfortably give, so our chefs have been getting creative. Crab is, of course, still very much on the menu - but this year, it’s sharing the stage.

Holidays here are more about being left to their own devices, rather than being glued to them...

They tend to find their own adventures - climbing, swinging, disappearing off for hours, and coming back when they’re ready. Summer on Bryher is pretty simple like that.

The Crab Shack’s back from 18th May.

This season, the tide’s nudged us in a slightly different direction. There’s been a rise in octopus around our shores - remarkable creatures, and, it turns out, just as fond of crab as we are.

So, rather than asking more of the sea than it can comfortably give, this season, crab will be sharing the stage. The spirit remains the same: simple, honest food, drawn from the sea - best enjoyed with salt in the air and time to linger.
