UPDATE: I have been informed that the site was only allowing one person to book evening puffin picnics. I'm sorry to say, I am happily married and was not attempting to catfish anybody - this glitch is now fixed.
So. We will be launching a new tour: Puffin picnics. Having waited 2 hours for our killer whales to show up, I couldn't help but think it would have been nice to have some snacks, so here we are. Watch the puffins come and go, wait for your whales, eat charcuterie, drink tasty beverages. Sounds like it might be the best day of your life.

We are so lucky to have so many lovely places to walk in Caithness. Off to Dunnet forest for a look at the lovely ponds which were absolutely teeming with tadpoles, newts and flowers, but it was the smell of the whins that was most amazing, the vanilla and coconut aroma was so strong, beautiful! Loving the yellow everywhere 💛

This afternoon's paddle at Sannick wasn't quite enough so back to the beach this evening, Keiss beach this time. Just beautiful with the gentle sunset behind and the lighthouse in front 🌅

A drizzly day made more colourful by a trip to Woodside Garden Centre in Castletown, to choose some lovely evergreens for the Bolt-hull 🌱 Always love a wander round there and the owners are always so friendly and helpful! Looking forward to planting 🌸🌼🌺🌿

It's International Scottish Gin Day, so we decided on a tour around Dunnet Bay Distillery- Rock Rose Gin 🍸 SUCH a good tour, especially loved all the Robert Dick and the Holy Grass information, and chat about Hannah's plants and experiments! Also seeing the stills and just how handmade everything is was fab. Started the tour with a gin, ended the tour with a gin and vodka tasting, and was sent home with more of the famous Holy Grass vodka in our goodie bags👌 It's a really lovely place to sit and try all the flavours, can't believe how tasty the Holy Grass vodka is 😋 and the shop is also lovely, so pretty! Big thanks to Andy for such a great tour, loved it and definitely recommended it! 🍸🌿

Definitely a day for exploring inside 🌧️
Fantastic collections; Robert Dick's herbarium 🌿, Dounreay's control room 🎛️, those Pict's stones! And of course the Lego broch 👌 plus loads more. Also, every member of staff was super friendly and made a point of chatting to us, such a nice atmosphere 🙂
