It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our number one club supporter, Peggy Weishut-Knook.

Many of our members, handlers and friends who have attended our trials will have had the pleasure of meeting Peggy. She was always there to help host, carry game and lend a hand wherever needed. Peggy truly embraced the gundog world and field sports, and everything that came with it.

Her warmth, enthusiasm and unwavering support for our club will be sorely missed by us all.

We are very proud to honour Peggy’s memory by presenting The Peggy Trophy at our Open next week at Kellas Estate. In accordance with Peggy’s wishes, this trophy will be awarded to the best retrieve over the two days.

It is a fitting tribute to someone who gave so much of her time, energy and heart to our sport and our club.

Rest in peace, dear Peggy. You will never be forgotten. 🤍
