ert's Way. Our one double bedroomed cottage was modernised in 2009, and the original cottage (which was thatched) dates from around 1830. The lounge has an open fire for both logs and coal; french doors lead into the fully equipped dining kitchen; leading to a rear hall with access to the large bathroom, featuring an electric shower over the bath. The generous double bedroom is at the front of the cottage, and the whole property has oil-fired central heating. Also on the doorstep of the village is the Kale, Tweed and Teviot Rivers, providing world class salmon and trout fishing in beautiful surroundings. This part of the Scottish Borders is also very popular for horse riding and mountain biking as well as those who enjoy enjoy golf, with a number of courses within easy reach - the championship standard Roxburghe Course lies just 8 miles away. And of course, the Scottish Borders is steeped in history with close access to the abbeys, castles and stately homes of the area. Local village pub and shop. Sorry, but no pets.
