A great way to see the Lake District without needing to drive everywhere is to use the 555 Bus that goes all the way from Lancaster to Keswick. It's just a short walk from The Warren, Kendal to the bus stop, and the busses go regularly throughout the day, driving past Windermere, Rydal Water and Thirlmere. It's currently only £3 per journey, so cheaper than driving and paying for parking in many cases, plus you can admire the views!

The Rydal Caves Walk was at it's very best this weekend after the rain. Water was cascading down the hill, creating waterfalls and streams that criss crossed the path 🏞. It's one of our favourite walks in any weather, as the paths remain mostly "un-muddy" regardless of how wet things get! Perfectly rounded off with Afternoon Tea at Zeffirellis in Ambleside to recharge!

Check out these views from Cunswick Scar today 😍. Both Scout Scar and Cunswick Scar offer the most amazing views, including the town of Kendal itself, the surrounding hills like Whinfell and Kentmere, and the higher fells of the Lake District, such as the Langdale Pikes, Crinkle Crags, and Great Gable, as well as the distant Morecambe Bay and the Yorkshire Dales. You can either walk straight from The Warren, or take a short drive to the car park.

Kendal Castle looking stunning in the sunshine 😍. This charming, easy walk from The Warren takes you down through the town and over the river (with maybe a stop for a quick cuppa or cheeky pint!), up to the ruins of the 13th Century Kendal Castle (former home to the family of Katherine Parr, 6th wife of King Henry VIII). The location of the castle ruins offer panoramic views of the town and surrounding fells. It’s a perfect introduction to Kendal’s rich history and provides an excellent vantage point for planning your next Lake District adventure.
