What’s On in the Lake District this September 🍂
From country shows to parades, September is bursting with events across the Lakes:
✨ Shire Yard Sounds, Holker Hall (6th Sept): Join for an evening of live music, food & local ales
🐑 Loweswater Show (7th Sept): A fab country show with fel racing, bands and more events to be confirmed...
🚜 Westmorland County Show (10th and 11th Sept ): Voted as one of the UK’s favourite shows, get ready for livestock, wrestling, performances in the main ring and much more!
🎭 Egremont Crab Fair (19th and 20th Sept): Home of the Gurning World Championships! One of the oldest fairs in the world, there is many things to do, with highlights such as the apple cart and Dancing in the Street.
🍴 Taste Cumbria Food Festival, Cockermouth (27th and 28th Sept): Foodies, this one’s for you! Free to attend, and you can expect a line-up of Live music, Street parties, cookery demos, and even a fairground.
🏃 Altra 13 Valleys Ultra (26th to 28th Sept): An epic trail running challenge, with 4 distances to choose from, 22km all the way up to 180km... amazing!
🎆 Kendal Torchlight Carnival (27th Sept): The town procession is back, with this years theme being Seasons. One of the biggest events in the Kendal Calendar!
